At the Shireman Homestead in Columbus, Indiana, The Winternight Viking Festival will host family-friendly fun from October 30-November 1. The event is a celebration of Norse culture and is one of the most anticipated events in the area.

From now until March, nearby South Bend is home to a special exhibit titled, “Votes for Women”. The exhibit commemorates the anniversary of the 19th amendment and local women who have contributed to the growth of the South Bend area. A fantastic educational display, the exhibit pays tribute to the many women who fought long and hard for the legal guarantee of women’s rights to vote. The exhibit is on display at The History Museum on West Washington Street, which is also home to many other fantastic exhibits and learning opportunities.
